Position Specifics:
Reports To: Service Manager

Purpose:
Trains with an experience service technician for a year to learn how to perform basic diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned agricultural and turf equipment.
Responsibilities:
Learns and performs basic diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and turf equipment as well as established Agriculture Management Solution (AMS) products Participates in Service EDUCATE Training Programs required for the development of skills and knowledge Learns knowledge of John Deere and competitive products Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments Accounts for all time and all material used in performing assigned duties Job Requirements:
Must be an energetic person who has a desire to learn about mechanics Ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures Proficient oral and written communication skills Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly High School Diploma or equivalent experience preferred Valid driver's license required along with a good driving record Must maintain a good driving record in compliance with company Motor Vehicle Records criteria throughout employment Must have reliable attendance Ability to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays Full-Time Benefit Packages:

Pay Information:
The hourly pay range for this position is $17 to $22. This reflects a reasonable estimate of the targeted base hourly wage for this role. Based on factor such as geographic location and candidate qualifications, actual base pay is determined when an employment offer is made.
Monday - Friday: 7 am to 5 pm Saturday: 7 am to 12 pm (rotation)
