REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Master's Degree preferred Must hold or be eligible for state of Delaware initial or continuing license Must be certified as a School Nurse Must have completed three (3) years of Clinical Nursing experience as a registered nurse consisting of a minimum of 500 hours per year, preferably working with pediatric/child population. Must be a Registered professional nurse, designated as R.N. as defined and determined by state law, and currently licensed in the state of Delaware. Must provide copy of RN license. Current certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Must hold a current Registered Nurse license recognized by the DE Board of Nursing Previous experience with pediatric chronic health conditions a plus. Must have completed and submitted online application prior to closing date

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct healthcare services to students and staff, including first aid and emergency care. Works to create and maintain healthy work environment in the school setting. Develop and implement health plans for students with chronic conditions. Administer medications and maintain accurate health records. Monitor and manage communicable diseases within the school. Conduct health screenings and immunization compliance checks. Educate students, staff, and parents on health-related topics. Collaborate with school administration, teachers, and external healthcare providers. Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate with emergency services as needed. Attends ESR and IEP meetings as needed. Maintain awareness of pediatric chronic health conditions.

Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Delaware Department of Education policies. Must be aware of relevant policies and procedures mandated by the State of DE including Stay current with best practices in pediatric physical therapy and educational requirements in Delaware. Attend professional development opportunities and training sessions related to school-based physical therapy.
