Job Title: Receiving Clerk/Forklift

Job Description

The Receiving Clerk/Forklift role involves verifying and comparing identifying information of incoming and outgoing shipments against bills of lading, invoices, and orders. The candidate will oversee a team of operators responsible for handling the shipments and will report any issues for the team to resolve. The role also includes performing computer data entry of shipping and receiving information, examining outgoing shipments for specification compliance, and maintaining inventory of shipping materials and supplies. Coordination with various purchasing departments is required to resolve shipment discrepancies. The role involves using SAP for order entry and inventory control, as well as coordinating repairs for shipment issues.

Responsibilities

Compare identifying information and counts of shipments to verify against documentation.

Oversee a team of operators to address shipment issues.

Perform data entry of shipping and receiving information.

Examine outgoing shipments to ensure compliance with specifications.

Maintain an inventory of shipping materials and supplies.

Coordinate with purchasing departments to resolve discrepancies.

Act as a backup inventory analyst.

Coordinate with drivers and multiple departments.

Utilize SAP for order entry and inventory control.

Coordinate repairs for shipment issues.

Comply with environmental, health, safety, and housekeeping programs.

Essential Skills

2-3 years of experience as a shipping and receiving clerk/admin in a manufacturing setting or admin in a warehouse.

ERP knowledge, preferably SAP.

Clear verbal and written communication skills.

Experience with shipping and receiving.

Strong computer skills including SAP and Microsoft Excel.

Detail-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Inventory management skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Familiarity with ERP systems and RF scanners.

Experience with inventory control and analysis.

Administrative assistance experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Work Environment

This role is 100% onsite, with time split between the scale office and the warehouse. Training hours are from 11 AM to 7 PM, allowing exposure to the fast-paced environment and hands-on training. The main shift is from 11 AM to 7 PM, with flexibility required for occasional Saturday rotations and coverage for other team members. The work environment is fast-paced and team-oriented, with a culture that values character and collaboration. The majority of time will be spent in the warehouse and shipping/receiving area, with small offices for administrative work.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of City Of Industry, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
