Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our OR Nurse at CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson, you will prepare patients for surgical procedures and assist in the operating room to ensure they receive excellent nursing when they are at their most vulnerable.
Every day you will go over consent forms, answer questions about the procedure, do preoperative assessments, make sure the equipment is ready to go, and update family members on the surgery status during the operation. You will be expected to directly assist the surgeon during the actual surgery.
To be successful in this role you must have the ability to maintain focus while multitasking, remain calm under pressure, and exercise good judgment in emergency situations.
Assist surgeon and surgical team in the OR
Care for patients before, during, and after procedures
Develop and implement nursing care plan for surgical patients
Ensure operating rooms are prepped with all necessary equipment and supplies
Demonstrate a high level of compassion for patients

Job Requirements
Education and Experience
Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN), required upon hire.
Licensure and Certifications
Registered Nurse: North Dakota (RN:ND), required upon hire.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR), required upon hire.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Within 90 Days of Start.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Within 90 Days of Start.

CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson, part of CommonSpirit Heath, a national nonprofit health system based in Englewood, Colorado. The faith-based system operates in 18 states and includes 103 hospitals. Additional services offered within the system are: long-term care, assisted and residential living communities, community health services organizations, home health agencies, and numerous outpatient facilities.
Pay Range
$34.00 - $50.58 /hour
