Pharmacy Intern - Ambulatory

Under the supervision of a pharmacist the pharmacy intern learns the basic operational and clinical skills required to be a pharmacist. The pharmacy intern performs pharmacy-related functions in order to ensure the safe and effective use of medications within UVA Medical Center.
Demonstrates knowledge of pharmacy distributive services.
Maintains compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
Engages in professional self-development.
In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Actively enrolled in a School of Pharmacy
Experience: No experience required; hospital experience preferred
Licensure: Licensed to practice as a Pharmacist Intern in the Commonwealth of Virginia by the Board of Pharmacy required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires standing for prolonged periods. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull
Position Compensation Range: $20.48 - $20.48 Hourly
