The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties. Responsibilities may include building, installing and maintaining equipment, performing preventative maintenance and repairs and applying knowledge in a variety of skilled trade areas.
Essential Functions:
(essential functions, including how an individual is to perform them and frequency at which tasks are performed; the tasks must be part of the job function and truly necessary or required to perform the job)
Installs, maintains and repairs machines and equipment in plant and related facilities Performs a variety of preventative maintenance on parts, pumps, motors, hydraulic systems and related plant and facility equipment. Performs a variety of maintenance requiring knowledge of plumbing, pipefitting, carpentry, electrical, electronics, welding and other skilled trades as appropriate or applicable. Operates a variety of hand and power tools, equipment, and machinery in the maintenance repair, and fabrication of parts, machines and equipment. Completes work orders and paperwork regarding daily maintenance and repair duties Assists with contractors and subcontractors Ensures compliance with operating policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment and efficient operations; may require wearing appropriate safety equipment and gear Assists with maintaining a safe and clean work environment and may perform various janitorial or housekeeping tasks. Performs other duties as assigned Korn Ferry Competencies:
Required:
Good knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry and overall general maintenance High mechanical ability PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) experience At least one year of HVAC experience At least one year of Pneumatic experience Ability to use hand tools and power tools MIG & TIG Welding experience Familiarity with Microsoft Word & Excel Ability to work in a collaborative environment Good troubleshooter Excellent verbal/ written communication and customer service skills Solid work ethic with a commitment to consistent on-time work attendance Preferred:
Familiarity with Outlook or other e-mail system Master Plumber and/or Master Electrician Required education and experience:
(education and experience based on requirements that are job-related and consistent with business necessity)
High school diploma or GED or trade school certification or certificate program completion Minimum of five years of experience in a maintenance role in an industrial/ manufacturing environment Preferred education and experience:
(preferred education and experience based on requirements that are job related and consistent with business necessity)
Additional eligibility qualifications:
(additional requirements such as certifications, industry-specific experience and the experience working with certain equipment)
Valid Driver's License Must possess or have the ability to obtain a US Passport Special Position Requirements:

Physical Demands/ Equipment used to perform the job:
Ability to lift, place, carry and push objects up to 50lbs or more Able to climb a ladder Ability to operate hand tools and power tools Must be able to stand, sit, walk, bend, crawl or stoop for long periods of time Must be able to work in an uncontrolled environment; in outdoor elements
