Job Title: Medical Assistant Job Description
The medical assistant will perform quality team-based patient care under the direct supervision of a clinician for both clinical and administrative functions to promote health and wellness in a safe and friendly environment. This role supports clinicians and care management teams in assessing, maintaining chronic disease management, examining, and treating patient populations. The medical assistant is responsible for performing all laboratory testing procedures and phlebotomy, including venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks.

Conduct laboratory testing procedures and phlebotomy, including venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks.
Essential Skills
Medical assisting skills
Patient care experience
Phlebotomy expertise
Ability to take vitals, manual vitals preferred
Active BLS certification
Active driver's license
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma required
Two years of experience within clinic/back office healthcare setting
Medical Assistant diploma or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or three years of Medical Assistant experience
Phlebotomy experience
Bilingual (English-Spanish) preferred
Experience with TriMed EMR preferred
Knowledge of laboratory quality control requirements
Knowledge of basic medical terminology
Knowledge of universal precaution procedures in medical safety practices
Ability to communicate and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public
Ability to assess emergencies and act accordingly
Flexibility to float from one location to another as patient queue demands
Independent, responsible, and organized
Work Environment
Work is conducted 100% onsite in a pediatric medical clinic. The shift pattern is Mondays from 10am to 7pm, Tuesdays to Fridays from 8am to 5pm, and every-other-Saturday from 7:45am to 11:45am.

This is a Permanent position based out of Sunrise, Florida.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36931.44 - $52157.56/yr.
