Senior Medical Director for Rheumatology

Join Planet Pharma as a Senior Medical Director for Rheumatology! This is a fully remote position with minimal travel requirements (10-20% international travel may be necessary). Become part of a dynamic team making significant advancements in the field of rheumatology. Position Overview: Lead the clinical team in developing a Clinical Development Plan that translates the Target Product Profile (TPP) into actionable strategies while ensuring quality, timely execution, and budget adherence. Provide strategic medical insights throughout all development stages, owning the Clinical Development Plan. Manage, mentor, and develop a global team of Clinical Trial Physicians, ensuring they deliver high-quality medical support. Oversee the medical aspects of studies in real time, effectively communicating with management and study teams. Ensure coordination across studies and maintain consistent communication with external stakeholders. Facilitate indication medical advisory boards as necessary. Play a pivotal role in building and maintaining a top-tier team of medical doctors in development. Ensure compliance in all studies related to the indication. Qualifications: Medical Doctor or equivalent degree; board certification is preferred. Specialty training in rheumatology with experience in both patient treatment and/or research. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in drug development within the pharmaceutical or biotech industries, covering phases I to registration. Key Skills and Abilities: Fluency in English, both written and spoken; must be able to travel. Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills in a global and intercultural context. Proactive problem-solving abilities and negotiation skills. Strong vision and direction for study teams, along with expertise in clinical trial design and data interpretation. Excellent communication skills to ensure transparency and clarity across teams. Able to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and perform well under pressure. Physical Requirements: Office environment with occasional travel. Frequent stationary work with occasional mobility and moderate physical activity. Ability to lift 15-20 lbs and effectively utilize computer software. Strong communication skills and ability to engage with diverse groups. Compensation:
