Electro-Mechanical Assembler
for a
1-year contract-to-hire
opportunity in
Oldsmar, FL . This position supports a leading aerospace and defense manufacturer and involves assembling a variety of electronic and mechanical components and subassemblies.
This is a
second-shift position (Monday-Thursday, 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM EST) .
Overtime may be required on weekends . Please note that shift changes are not permitted-candidates hired into 2nd shift must remain on 2nd shift.
Required Qualifications: Either
demonstrated
mechanical assembly abilities
(using hand/power tools, saws, jigs, etc.) or
soldering experience
with electronic components Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, drawings, and assembly instructions Able to perform continuity checks on in-process and completed work Comfortable using standard hand tools and power tools for assembly tasks Capable of performing repetitive and non-repetitive tasks with attention to detail Must be able to
read and write in English Must pass a
medical exam
as outlined in the supplier guide Willing and able to work overtime when needed Preferred Skills:
Experience disassembling, modifying, reworking, reassembling, or testing prototype assemblies Familiarity with aerospace or defense manufacturing environments Previous work conducting quality inspections in a production setting Responsibilities Include:
Assemble electronic and mechanical parts, modules, panels, drawers, frames, and cables Perform both standard and complex layouts using technical documentation Conduct continuity and quality checks on completed assemblies Use hand and power tools in a safe and accurate manner Rework or modify parts and assemblies per engineering instructions or simulated conditions
