This is an opportunity to become part of a fast-growing, world-class organization supporting the latest energy technologies. The Tooling, Process, and Training team is responsible for developing the hardware and processes used during the installation, commissioning, and service of Tesla Energy products. This individual will become the main point of contact for service tool manufacturing, collaborating closely with design and supply chain teams to bring new service tools to life, on schedule and under budget. They will oversee the tooling change control process, ensure our design documentation is complete and up to date, and communicate the latest design revisions to our suppliers. What You'll Do
Own manufacturing build planning and execution for service tooling
Review drawings and design documentation to ensure it meets internal standards
Oversee the change control process for service tooling
Lead cost reduction efforts, through DFM improvements and new vendor qualification
Develop and manage supplier QC documentation
Ensure compliance requirements are being met by our suppliers
What You'll Bring
1-2 years of DFM/DFA experience in low to medium volume manufacturing
Understanding of common manufacturing processes including machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, 3D printing, and injection molding
Proficiency in 3D CAD (3DX and/or SolidWorks preferred)
Familiarity with PLM software (Enovia preferred)
Experience interpreting and creating 2D part and assembly drawings
Strong communication skills and a hands-on approach to problem solving

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
