Shift : 8am-4pm M-F
Position Summary:
The
Patient Services Representative II (PSR II)
is the face of our organization, providing a critical link between patients and the healthcare system. The PSR II is responsible for drawing high-quality blood specimens and preparing them for laboratory testing. This role demands
professionalism, precision, and compassion , as it includes direct patient interaction in various healthcare settings, such as
doctor's offices, Patient Service Centers (PSCs), or other assigned locations .
The PSR II fosters an atmosphere of trust and reassurance, explains procedures clearly, and follows all protocols for specimen collection, processing, and documentation - while demonstrating leadership behaviors and commitment to
process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy .
Key Responsibilities: Perform daily assigned tasks accurately and timely under the supervision of the area supervisor. Maintain a safe, clean, and professional working environment. Collect and process both
clinical and forensic specimens
according to established procedures. Perform pediatric, geriatric, and capillary draws with skill and confidence. Verify patient identity and demographics; ensure specimens are labeled
in the presence of the patient
with correct information and signature post-venipuncture. Accurately maintain all required
records and documentation . Promote a
positive organizational image
to patients, clients, and the general public. Adapt quickly to changing business needs including short-notice travel or reassignment. Demonstrate strong
customer service focus , integrity, and professionalism at all times. Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Rotating weekends (Saturday & Sunday)
including
holidays When scheduled to work the weekend,
Tuesday will be the off day Includes a
30-minute lunch break Required Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent - REQUIRED Experience:
Minimum
3+ years of phlebotomy experience - REQUIRED Required Skills & Competencies:
Ability to perform error-free work in a
fast-paced, high-volume environment Works independently with
minimal supervision Superior
phlebotomy skills , especially with pediatric patients Strong
time management , multitasking, and organizational skills Flexible and dependable - able to work
weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime Professional communication and
customer-first mindset Makes sound decisions within established procedures and uses
good judgment Able to travel to
multiple locations
with
