Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented System Administrator with advanced knowledge of Windows Server environments and enterprise IT security to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of hands-on experience in a Windows-domain infrastructure and possess a strong background in enterprise systems administration, IT security operations, and compliance. Professional certifications such as Microsoft (MCSA, MCSE), VMware (VCP), and/or Citrix (CCA/CCP) are highly desirable. Experience with Meraki networking, SIEM platforms (Arctic Wolf preferred), NextGen AV (SentinelOne), and enterprise firewalls (Palo Alto & Meraki) is required.

Responsibilities

Systems Administration

Administer and support Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022), including roles such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, File Services, and Print Services Lead patching, hardening, and performance tuning of Windows-based servers Configure and manage virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere and/or Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Deploy, configure, and manage Meraki firewalls, switches, and wireless APs through the Meraki Dashboard Monitor infrastructure performance, system logs, backups, and availability using enterprise monitoring tools Provide Tier 2/3 support for escalated IT issues and service desk tickets Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and implementation Maintain accurate documentation of systems, configurations, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures Security & Compliance

Administer and monitor enterprise firewalls including Palo Alto and Meraki appliances to ensure secure network traffic flow and rule compliance Implement, monitor, and respond to alerts from a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platform - Arctic Wolf preferred Administer and support NextGen Antivirus solutions (SentinelOne preferred) for proactive threat detection and remediation Develop, write, and implement IT cybersecurity policies, procedures, and standards aligned with organizational needs Ensure compliance with industry regulations and frameworks including PCI, HIPAA, and SAQ-D Support internal and external audits by providing security documentation, evidence, and remediation plans Collaborate with IT leadership to enforce cybersecurity policies, drive awareness, and strengthen organizational resilience against threats Qualifications

2-4 years of experience in a Windows-domain enterprise environment Advanced, hands-on experience with Windows Server administration, including deep knowledge of Active Directory structure, GPOs, PowerShell scripting, and troubleshooting domain services Hands-on experience with Meraki networking, including site-to-site VPNs, VLANs, and security appliance configuration Proficiency in firewall administration (Palo Alto and Meraki), endpoint protection (SentinelOne or similar NextGen AV), and SIEM tools (Arctic Wolf preferred) Experience developing and implementing IT security policies and ensuring compliance with PCI, HIPAA, and SAQ-D requirements Familiarity with backup systems, patch management tools, and endpoint management solutions Strong documentation skills and ability to follow change control and security procedures Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills What Sage Offers
