to join our compassionate team on a part-time basis, specifically every other weekend! Position Summary As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents. Your responsibilities will focus on promoting their dignity, independence, and rights while providing personal care and support with activities of daily living, medication reminders, and engaging in social and spiritual activities. You will also monitor their physical and cognitive wellbeing, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. Essential Functions, Key Duties, & Responsibilities Assist residents with essential activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and medication reminders, according to individualized care plans and community policies. Provide support in lifting, turning, transferring, positioning, and transporting residents as needed. Support dining room services during assigned mealtimes, which includes setup, cleanup, meal delivery, feeding assistance, and documenting meal intake. Observe and monitor residents' physical and cognitive health, reporting any changes to the nurse and supervisor immediately. Administer nutritional supplements at designated times and assist residents to ensure proper intake, documenting accordingly. Engage in life enrichment programs, providing residents with meaningful activities that enhance their daily experience. Document care activities accurately and in a timely manner. Perform additional duties as assigned, in line with community policies. Adhere to all policies and procedures and keep abreast of any updates. Position Requirements Education:
High School Diploma or GED Licenses/Certifications:
Certification as a Nursing Assistant is required based on state regulations. Experience:
Preferably 1+ years of experience, either paid or volunteer, working with seniors. Skills & Abilities: Demonstrated patience and compassion while working with elderly individuals.
