A leading renewable energy EPC contractor is seeking an experienced
Estimating Manager
to lead estimating efforts for major
utility-scale solar and energy storage projects
across the U.S. This role is a key part of the company's growth strategy and will drive the preparation of accurate, competitive, and winning proposals for large-scale clean energy developments.
Key Responsibilities Lead and develop a team of estimators focused on delivering high-quality, detailed cost estimates. Review RFPs, project documents, and site information to build comprehensive bid strategies. Oversee the estimating process from project kickoff through proposal submission. Ensure estimates are accurate, complete, and competitive. Collaborate closely with internal engineering, procurement, and construction teams to align proposals with real-world project delivery. Manage and continuously improve cost databases, historical pricing, and market trends. Provide pricing strategies and risk assessments to support executive decision-making. Identify opportunities to streamline estimating workflows and tools for long-term efficiency. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field preferred (minimum High School Diploma or GED required). Minimum 5 years of estimating experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role. Minimum 2 years of estimating experience specifically on utility-scale solar projects. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and Microsoft Project. Excellent leadership, analytical, and team management skills. Proven ability to develop competitive pricing strategies for large-scale projects. Preferred Skills
Experience with AutoCAD. Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems. Additional Details
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available). Occasional travel to project sites. Competitive compensation based on experience. Physical requirement: ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
