Sun-Wed Day shift Job summary The Warehouse Laborer is responsible for performing a variety of warehouse tasks, including the manual loading and unloading of shipments, order picking and packing, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. This role requires physical dexterity, a strong work ethic, and close collaboration with team members to ensure the efficient flow of inventory in a non-forklift environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and committed to maintaining a safe and compliant workspace. This is a refrigerated warehouse and the temp is 30 degrees, warm layers are suggested to work in this environment. Essential duties and responsibilities
Manual loading and unloading:
Manually handle and transport inbound and outbound shipments to and from delivery vehicles and storage areas. Order picking and packing:
Accurately pick products from storage locations based on order sheets, and then pack, label, and prepare them for shipping. Inventory handling:
Organize, sort, and count inventory to assist with overall inventory management and control. Damage reporting:
Identify and report any damaged, missing, or faulty items to the appropriate supervisor. General warehouse upkeep:
Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping and maintaining a safe and tidy work area, in compliance with 5S standards. Pallet management:
Efficiently dispose of trash and organize broken pallets. Safety and compliance:
Adhere to all safety procedures, rules, and standards established for the facility. Team collaboration:
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members and provide support to other departments as needed during periods of high volume. Equipment operation:
Use equipment such as pallet jacks to move and position materials around the warehouse. Skills and qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a warehouse or manual labor role is preferred. Physically able to stand, walk, lift, and carry heavy objects for extended periods. Ability to lift up to a specified weight (e.g., 50 pounds). Experience with pallet jacks or other non-forklift equipment is a plus. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Basic reading and communication skills to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
