Summary
Reporting to the HR Director, the Recruiter is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process to ensure Alcott attracts, evaluates, and hires qualified candidates who align with the agency's mission and values. This role requires strong sourcing, screening, and candidate management skills, as well as close collaboration with program managers to meet staffing needs. The Recruiter ensures compliance with employment laws, maintains accurate recruitment records, and supports organizational growth by building effective talent pipelines.
Salary Range:
$80,000 - $85,000 annually, DOE
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition Manage full-cycle recruitment for assigned positions, including job posting, resume review, screening, interviewing, and reference checks. Ability to manage 15-20 open requisitions simultaneously while maintaining quality standards and meeting deadlines Draft and post job descriptions on internal and external platforms (e.g., Indeed, Alcott's website, community job boards). Source candidates through Indeed, networking, referrals, and partnerships with workforce development programs. Manage competing priorities across multiple hiring requests while delivering exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience. Candidate Experience & Selection
Conduct phone, virtual, and in-person interviews to assess qualifications and fit. Provide timely communication to applicants and ensure a professional candidate experience. Coordinate interview scheduling and feedback with hiring managers. Prepare offer letters and support onboarding in collaboration with HR team members. Metrics, Compliance & Recordkeeping
Maintain accurate recruitment records within the applicant tracking system (ATS). Track and report recruitment metrics (time-to-fill, source of hire, diversity efforts). Ensure compliance with agency policies, EEO standards, and applicable labor regulations. Collaboration & Employer Branding
Partner with program managers to identify hiring needs and workforce priorities. Build pipelines by attending job fairs, hosting recruiting events, and maintaining relationships with local schools, training programs, and community organizations. Support employer branding initiatives to promote Alcott as an employer of choice in the nonprofit and mental health sectors. Other Duties
Assist with HR projects, employee engagement efforts, and special initiatives as assigned. Qualifications
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required; bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Minimum of two (2) years of full-cycle recruitment or talent acquisition experience required. Experience recruiting in nonprofit, mental health, or social services settings preferred. Skills and Abilities
Strong interviewing, assessment, and candidate evaluation skills. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple requisitions simultaneously and meet deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with ATS or HRIS systems. Familiarity with Indeed and other job board platforms for candidate sourcing. Additional Requirements
Must successfully pass all required background checks, including Live Scan. If driving a company vehicle is an essential function of the position, candidates must possess and maintain a valid California Driver's License, maintain a clean driving record (past 3 years), and be insurable under the agency's insurance carrier. This position is full-time, 40 hours per week. Standard agency hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM. Military-experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.
