Shift Breakdown:
3x12 hrs
Shift:
12 hours, nights
Emergency Room | RN Certs: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS/ENPC, NIHSS (within 30 days), NRP (preferred; can earn on-site) Trauma Level: IV (not STEMI/stroke center) Beds: 7 (expanding to 14); ~60 pts/day Ratios: 1:4–5; 2:1 for resuscitation Shifts: 7a–7p, 7p–7a (schedule made by manager, blocks accommodated) Experience: Small hospital/travel experience preferred Common Cases: Trauma (20+/mo), burns, MVAs, water rescues, OB, GI bleeds, surgical/ortho, STEMI/stroke send-outs, life flight available Drips: Heparin, pressors, blood; occasional ICU holds Support Staff: CNAs, techs, clerk, sitters; charge RN & house supervisor (charge may take patients) Providers: 24/7 physician; mid-levels assist 11a–11p RT: 24/7 hospital coverage; ABGs, treatments, EKGs by RNs Monitoring: Tele monitors (Mindray); RN interprets Labs/Imaging: RN draws majority; phlebotomy backup; imaging next to ED Other: No fast track (planned with expansion); triage experience required; no psych seclusion rooms; no in-house security (dispatch as needed) Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend; rotate holidays Floating: Not required (ER staff may float elsewhere instead) Scrubs: Solid or prints Orientation: 2 shifts with preceptor About Malone Healthcare - Nursing
