Overview

As a Host, you are the first point of contact for guests at Brighton's Millicent Chalet restaurant. You will greet and seat guests, manage reservations and waitlists, and set the tone for a positive dining experience. This role requires strong communication skills, professionalism, and a guest-first attitude.

Manager: Executive Chef and F&B Operations Managers

Status: Seasonal (with potential for year-round opportunities depending on performance and business needs)

Position Start Date: Winter Season 25/26

Typical Schedule: Open availability required, including weekends, evenings, and holidays; schedule will vary based on service needs.

Responsibilities

- Greet guests warmly and manage seating in an organized manner.

- Manage reservations, waitlists, and guest flow.

- Answer phone calls and provide accurate information.

- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and appearance of entrance and host stand.

- Communicate effectively with servers and management about guest needs.

- Support FOH operations as needed.

Qualifications

- Strong communication and organizational skills.

- Professional appearance and demeanor.

- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

- Previous hosting or customer service experience preferred.

- Ability to stand for extended periods.

- Ability to ski is a plus but not required.

Work Environment & Transportation Requirements:

Working at Brighton Resort requires commitment and planning to arrive on time and navigate canyon traffic and mountain weather conditions. Employees must be prepared for delays, road restrictions, and seasonal challenges associated with high-altitude resort operations.

Physical & Environmental Requirements:

- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and operate commercial equipment as required by role.

- Comfortable working in cold, snowy, and high-altitude conditions.

- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak ski/summer seasons.
