Description

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will execute HR initiatives that align with organizational goals. The HRBP will work directly with the Director of Human Resources to ensure smooth execution of HR operations, oversee scheduling and switchboard functions, and manage assigned HR projects that support employee experience, compliance, and organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities • Scheduling & Switchboard Oversight:

Manage daily operations, monitor performance, implement improvements, and ensure adequate coverage. • HR Project Management:

Lead assigned HR projects (e.g., process updates, policy rollouts, system improvements), ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met. • Labor Relations Support:

Partner with labor relations on matters such as grievance tracking, contract interpretation, and compliance with collective bargaining agreements. • Recruitment & Onboarding:

Partner with recruitment and training to ensure retention throughout the new-hire/onboarding experience. • Benefits & Compensation Administration:

Coordinate and administer employee benefits programs, support employee inquiries, lead open enrollment processes, and assist in compensation practices to maintain fairness and compliance. • Employee Engagement:

Support initiatives that strengthen workplace culture, employee recognition, and overall retention. Collaborate with leadership to gather employee feedback and implement programs that enhance the employee experience. • Compliance:

Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws, organizational policies, and collective bargaining agreements. • Data & Analytics:

Maintain and track HR metrics such as turnover, retention, absenteeism, and scheduling coverage. • Collaboration:

Work closely with HR leadership to align day-to-day HR practices with organizational goals, escalating complex issues as needed. • Other Duties as Assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Organizational Development, Psychology, or a related field. • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive HR experience with demonstrated expertise in benefits and compensation administration. • Working knowledge of employment laws, including but not limited to FMLA, ADAAA, workers' compensation, wage and hour, and EEO regulations. • Experience providing support in labor relations within a unionized environment, including familiarity with collective bargaining agreements and grievance procedures. • Background in employee engagement initiatives that strengthen culture, recognition, and retention. • Solid understanding of HR operations. • Experience leading or supporting HR projects such as policy updates, system implementations, or process improvements. • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities. • HR Certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent) preferred. • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism. • Experience managing nursing schedules a plus.

Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as ratios and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Technology Skills: Utilizes computers to accomplish job tasks. Computer literacy is essential in word processing, graphic designs, spreadsheet applications, and databases. Knowledge of Outlook or similar program.
