Florida Tile
SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for all operational functions and sales support leadership of the branches within assigned region, Dallas, Texas, Ft. Colling, CO, and Denver, CO. The Branch Regional Operations Manager (BROM) must ensure that customer care, inside sales, and sales support functions are provided at the highest level, all while maintaining 100% compliance with FTI policies, procedures, and guidelines. The BROM is responsible for the direct management of Branch Operations Managers (BOM) in region and will partner directly with the Branch Regional Sales Manager (BRSM) to ensure strategic goals are accomplished.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure operating units, customer care, inventory, and accounts receivable are managed according to company policies. Implement consistent standard operating procedures that align with sales strategy in given region and update regularly. Utilize effective interpersonal communication and leadership skills in the employee selection, discipline, and performance management process. Hire and train high-performing customer care and operation teams. Conduct periodic training with staff as needed. Maintain expenses within the budget, review and approve payments, analyze monthly statements/reports, and develop processes to keep expenses within budget. Overall responsibility for maintaining branch equipment and facilities. This includes capital requests and vendor quoting. Responsible for developing sales support functions including: Developing, maintaining, and growing walk-in customer relationships and purchases, implement upselling (mix) and add-on selling techniques with all branch customers, and post sales follow up activities Responsible for inventory management function oversight in region including: Cycle counts and results, Inventory accuracy and adjustments, full physical inventories, maintain warehouse stocking profile, returns to vendor, sample policy enforcement & write-offs, and discontinued inventory process. Responsible for periodic review of freight spend and recovery in assigned region. Ensure that proper warehouse safety procedures are being followed. Responsible for the oversight and maintenance of the OSHA files alongside BOM in region Responsible for purchasing functions including: Purchasing and receiving from NDC and non FTI vendors (including application of min/max philosophy to keep Branch Inventory Valuation within targeted range), branch transfers, and reviewing backorders. Responsible for credit functions oversight in region and develop action plans with BOM as needed Responsible for Human Resource functions including: maintaining positive work environment, involved with hiring and interviewing process, and manage overtime needs and budget Responsible for encouraging and helping create strategic customer/vendor events alongside BRSM Proactively work to support sales team which can include some travel to events with sales staff and support of regional sales programs. Additional duties as assigned Miscellaneous Duties :
Review, and propose opportunities to improve, financial, and operational performance with BRSM Maintain full knowledge and understanding of Florida Tile catalog of products and ancillary products offered by the company for selling, training, and customer resource purposes Perform employee training including forklift training and SAP training Perform warehouse and showroom duties as needed QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree and/or 5+ years of operations management experience required Direct report management experience required Proactive, driven leader that has consistently demonstrated results through action Previous experience developing and managing yearly budgets Collaborative leader with excellent communication skills High level of attention to detail Ability to connect with customers at all levels and adapt quickly based on their needs Must be proficient in Word, Outlook, and Excel SAP experience a plus Must be able to obtain complete knowledge of all Florida Tile products Must be able to perform all functions in the warehouse when needed including, but not limited to, driving a forklift, loading and unloading trucks, operating a pallet jack, and lifting up to 50 pounds repetitively Ability to meet deadlines and schedules with little supervision Ability to travel within regional and possible events/tradeshows as needed (travel approximately 25-30%) Flooring or tile industry experience a plus Sales experience a plus Florida Tile provides an array of benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
