We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in an on-call capacity, working a rotating 7 days on / 7 days off schedule. This role is ideal for a nurse who excels in autonomy, critical thinking, and providing high-quality, patient-centered care during off-hours and urgent situations.
As the on-call RN, you will be responsible for responding to patient needs after hours, including symptom management, triaging urgent calls, completing admissions, and conducting death visits. You will be a critical part of our care team, ensuring continuity of care and support for patients and families during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide timely and appropriate clinical responses to after-hours calls and visits. Perform symptom assessment and management for patients experiencing urgent needs. Triage patient and family concerns, determining the appropriate course of action. Conduct new patient admissions as needed. Respond to and manage patient deaths, ensuring compassionate care and proper documentation. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality care and communication. Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and communications in the EMR. Schedule:
7 Days On / 7 Days Off On-call coverage typically includes evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays during assigned on-call week. Must be available to respond promptly to calls and patient needs.
