Job Summary:

The Driver Technician operates DOT-regulated vehicles to safely transport materials and equipment. This role performs field service operations at customer sites, including troubleshooting systems, handling mechanical, electrical, and diesel-related tasks, and addressing safety issues. The Driver Technician interacts directly with customers, may work across multiple sites and technologies, and must apply strong critical thinking skills.

Requirements:

Some travel required

Driving Requirements:

Submission of Driver Application for Employment

Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)

Required forms: Driver Disclosure and Release, Employee Drug and Alcohol Statement, FMCSA Certificate of Awareness, Driver Certificate of Violations, Driver Statement of On Duty Hours

Provide copy of Driver's License and Medical Certificate

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent

Eligible to obtain a valid CDL Class A with necessary endorsements

Ability to secure customer clearances (TWIC, DISA, etc.)

Ability to obtain DOT Medical card and maintain a clean driving record

0-2 years of technical work experience (1 year preferred)

Willingness to drive overnight, on difficult routes, and cross borders (passport required)

Understanding of weight requirements/distribution

Skills:

Hands-on experience (electrical, mechanical, diesel, or fusion technologies based on business needs)

Ability to work independently

Strong technical aptitude

Familiarity with Microsoft Office and smart devices

Proven customer service skills

Excellent critical thinking and troubleshooting abilities

Strong communication, able to synthesize and share technical information

Problem-solving based on insights from customer experiences
