Event Staff Member (Pop-Up Events)

PrideStaff is seeking an Event Staff Member for exciting weekend pop-up events! We are looking for energetic, reliable, and people-friendly individuals to help us deliver memorable experiences. This is a fast-paced, hands-on position where you'll be an essential part of the event execution, from start to finish.
Compensation and Schedule Pay: $20 per hour
Location: Charlotte, NC
Schedule: Weekend events only, starting October 18th.
Shifts: Shifts will typically range from 4 to 8 hours. Key Responsibilities
As an Event Staff Member, you will be assigned to one or more crucial roles based on the needs of each event. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Guest Services: Welcoming guests, providing directions, and serving as an usher to ensure smooth traffic flow and safety.
Event Operations: Assisting with the physical set-up and breakdown of event spaces, which may include moving tables, chairs, signage, and equipment.
Point-of-Sale (POS) & Merchandise: Managing the merchandise table, handling sales, managing inventory, and processing transactions.
Admissions: Operating ticket scanners and managing the entry process efficiently.
Photography/Content Capture: Taking photos of the event and attendees for social media and promotional use (experience a plus, but not required).
Problem-Solving: Proactively identifying and resolving minor issues that arise during the event. Qualifications
Experience: Previous experience in events, retail, customer service, or a fast-paced environment is preferred.
People Skills: Must be highly people-friendly with excellent communication skills and a positive, engaging attitude.
Technical Aptitude: Must be somewhat tech-savvy and comfortable quickly learning and operating mobile apps, ticket scanners, and POS systems.
Work Ethic: Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
Reliability: Must be reliable, punctual, and able to commit to weekend shifts.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for extended periods and assist with light to moderate physical set-up and breakdown tasks. Uniform Requirement
Staff are required to wear a professional, all-black uniform (e.g., black shirt, black pants, black closed-toe shoes).
