$17.00 - $25.50 Job Summary The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a vital role as a caregiver for residents in long-term care. You will provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). Your responsibilities will include: Delivering age-appropriate care tailored to the physical and psychological needs of residents. Assisting with daily living tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting. Obtaining and recording vital signs and providing psychosocial support. Helping residents with mobility, including transferring and repositioning, using safe techniques and equipment. Encouraging participation in wellness and recreational programs. Documenting resident care activities and communicating any changes in their condition to the nursing staff. Providing food preparation and assistance during meal times to enhance residents’ dining experiences. You may also assist nursing staff with procedures and maintain cleanliness in residents' living areas while supporting their comfort and dignity. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not mandatory. Must be at least 18 years of age. Previous experience as a nursing assistant in a long-term care facility is preferred. Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or be enrolled in a training program to obtain certification. Completion of annual competency testing and continuing education is necessary, with a minimum of 12 hours required per year. Certification as a Qualified Medication Administration Person (QMAP) may be required depending on the facility.
