Lansing, Michigan volunteer for Hospice. Friendly visits to patients

Looking to volunteer? I have a great opportunity for anyone over the age of 18. I have volunteers that are 18-85 years old so anyone can do it! Volunteers are able to visit with patients on a friendly level. There is no hands on care so you are entirely there for their enjoyment. Visits may include but not limited to conversation, puzzles, watching TV together, activities, card games, crafts. Whatever the patient is interested in. Patients may either live in their own home or in a facility. There are some requirements to be a volunteer to satisfy Medicare, Nursing Homes, Assisted Living and Hospice protocol. These include the following: 1. 2 step TB test 2. Background check 3. Finger printing 4. drug screening ( minus marijuana) 5. paper work and training which is done with me Once completed volunteers can make their own schedule and is 100% flexible.
