Description

The NP functions in an interdependent role by implementing the appropriate SPs. By using the SPs the NP is able to provide specialized care across two critical programs: 60% of time supporting patients with Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) in outpatient setting, including same-day visits for urgent care needs, and 40% of time in the Cellular Therapy Survivorship Clinic, caring for post-transplant or CAR-T therapy recipients as a part of a long-term survivorship monitoring and support. NP will change treatment regiment after observing signs and symptoms of illness, reactions to treatment, general behaviors and physical condition and determines if they are abnormal findings. The NP will provide and coordinate the care of patients, provide patient/family education, promote safe continuity of care. The NP also participates in the interdisciplinary and clinical rounds, provides education and support, as well as makes appropriate referrals. Salary range: $89.06- $127.19/hourly Qualifications

CA RN and CA NP License- required MSN/ DNP in NP Specialty -required (Adult Acute Care NP Specialty - strongly preferred but will consider Adult NP, FNP or PCNP with extensive relevant Oncology exp) National Certification in NP Specialty-required BLS certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association- required NP, State of CA NP Furnishing with Schedule II, Additional: NPI #, DEA #, Enrollment in PECOS, Enrollment in CURES-required 5+ years of exp as an oncology certified nurse (experience in infusion center is a plus)-preferred NP experience- required 2+ years of exp as a Nurse Practitioner -preferred Ability to utilize excel, word and other software programs -required Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative working relationships with administrative, clinical and academic personnel -required Skill in working independently and following through with minimum direction -required Ability to set priorities -required Demonstrate writing skills to compose logical, detailed and grammatically correct correspondence -required Document patient care in a concise and comprehensive manner -required
