Position Overview:
The Loader Operator will support earthmoving and material handling operations across marine and land-based construction zones. This role is critical to maintaining efficient site logistics and supporting excavation, grading, and concrete placement activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate front-end loaders to move earth, aggregate, and construction materials
Load trucks, conveyors, and hoppers with precision and safety
Assist in site preparation, grading, and backfilling operations
Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
Work in coordination with site supervisors and other equipment operators
Maintain awareness of surroundings, including tight spaces and active structures
Adhere to all safety protocols and VDOT regulations

Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 1 year of experience operating front-end loaders in heavy civil or marine construction Familiarity with attachments such as forks, buckets, and grapples Ability to work in variable terrain and weather conditions High school diploma or equivalent preferred Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work extended shifts
