Position Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Athletics the Associate Athletic Director assists in the administration of the College Division II Athletic Program.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred • Knowledge of NCAA DII rules/regulations • Min 5 years administrative experience in college/university environment

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
REQUIREMENTS Assumes responsibility for the overall operation of the athletic department in the absence of the Director of Athletics.
Assists in administering the NCAA Division II Intercollegiate athletics program for 8 male teams.
Assists the Director in monitoring and coordinating all day-to-day aspects of the Intercollegiate Athletic Programs.
Plans, organizes and schedules weekly practice schedules for all athletic teams with appropriate input, i.e., input from other coaches.
Coordinates game day assignment of game day officials and administrators for home athletic events.
Assists in the selection and recommendation of all supporting personnel, i.e., coaches, trainers and other athletic personnel, when requested to do so.
Assists head coaches with purchase orders for equipment and supplies, meal money, travel and recruiting expenses, as needed.
In conjunction with the Director of Athletics, plans, organizes and approves travel program for all intercollegiate competition, meetings, conferences and recruiting. Represents the College at Conference, local, state and national meetings.
Assists Director of Athletics in creating, developing, and executing short term and long range planning Assists Director in providing Strategic Oversight for athletic department and administrative support units (athletic training, academic support)
Serves as a liaison with Residence Life, Housing and Dining Services Assists Director of Athletics by executing initiatives and special projects, evaluating functions, practices and the efficiency of facilities, and evaluating staff performance and providing leadership and guidance for personnel Other duties as assigned by Athletic Director.
