Western Wisconsin Health is seeking a casual Certified Nurse Midwife to assist in call coverage.

Rural full-scope midwifery practice - the practice is composed of three full-time CNMs. Clinic and hospital-based midwifery service. Antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum and well-person gynecology care. This is a growing practice with opportunities for developing and promoting midwifery in Western Wisconsin.

The Western Wisconsin Health birth center embraces a midwifery model of care, with patient-centered and individualized care as a hallmark of the care we provide. Natural birth options, medication-supported birth options and obstetrical options provided at our facility. All CNMs are credentialed water birth providers. Nitrous oxide, movement in labor supported and encouraged. Lactation support. OB RNs skilled in intermittent FHR auscultation for appropriate-risk labor patients.

Minimum Requirements: AMCB certification WI RN license WI CNM license WI APNP license Proficiency and comfort with using EMRs. Current EMR is Excellian (Epic) Preferred Qualifications:

Prior labor and birth and/or midwifery experience Waterbirth experience Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Excellent written and verbal skills Flexibility Experience and comfort working independently with antepartum, postpartum and laboring patients, and collaborating with physicians and specialty staff as indicated and needed. Collaborative and open in communication with partners, staff and patients. Commitment to midwifery model of care by providing evidence-based, patient-centered, individualized care. Commitment to bedside, "with woman" midwifery care and supportive of physiologic labor and birth Routine newborn care provider up to 2 weeks of age Knowledge and desire to work in a rural community practice Providing full spectrum of contraceptive options to our patients
