American Youth Mental Health Project
Volunteer & Support Youth Mental Health
American Youth Mental Health Project, Greenville, Ohio, United States, 45331
At AYMHP our mission is simple but powerful: to make sure no young person ever feels like they have to face their struggles alone.
We’re building a safe, anonymous chat app where kids and teens can connect with caring adults and peer mentors when they’re feeling overwhelmed.
We’re looking for compassionate volunteers who want to be a positive presence in a young person’s life. As a volunteer, you’ll:
Provide emotional support through text-based chat
Listen without judgment and encourage youth to open up
Direct them toward safe, positive coping skills
Help create a supportive community where kids feel seen and heard
What we need :
Volunteers who are empathetic, patient, and genuinely care about youth well-being
People who can commit a few hours per week (flexible schedule)
No counseling license required—just a big heart and willingness to learn
Why volunteer with us?
Because you’ll be part of something bigger—helping to shift the way young people experience mental health support. You’ll know that your time and compassion directly impact a young person’s life in a positive way.
If you believe every kid deserves to feel safe, supported, and heard, we’d love to have you join us.
