Traveling Superintendent
A respected general contractor in Wisconsin is seeking a
Traveling Superintendent
to oversee field operations on high-profile commercial projects. This role is ideal for an experienced superintendent who enjoys a mix of travel and local work. Approximately one-third of the year will involve travel to out-of-town projects, with the remainder being closer to home.
Responsibilities: Lead and manage on-site construction activities for assigned projects
Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to maintain project schedules
Oversee quality control, enforce safety standards, and ensure compliance with building codes
Conduct site meetings, prepare daily reports, and communicate updates to project management teams
Anticipate and resolve job site challenges to keep projects on track
Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and jobsite excellence
Requirements:
5+ years of experience as a Superintendent managing commercial construction projects
Experience leading teams on complex, ground-up builds preferred
Ability to manage schedules, budgets, and subcontractor performance
Willingness to travel approximately 30-35% of the year for project needs
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
OSHA certification or other relevant safety training preferred
