As a volunteer, you are treated by local, state, and federal law as being an unpaid employee of the agency in which you are associated with. Therefore, you must conduct yourself in the same manner you would your own job. In the same respect, you will receive the same treatment, aside from compensation and benefits, as the employees of the Granville Exempted Village School District.

First time volunteers participating in any coaching or instruction that is not personally supervised by a Granville Schools employee must have a satisfactory BCI and FBI background check completed and received by the District Office. Volunteer Coaches must secure a PAP prior to any coaching.

Volunteers who are supervised and will be on site less than 5 times may use the Raptor Check system in lieu of submitting an FBI/BCI check.

Volunteers will be asked to assist with a variety of school based tasks. Examples of tasks may include lunch or recess duty, filing, cutting, copying, athletics, etc.

Minimum Requirements:

A record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment. Comply with board policies. Complete compliance training for health, safety and FERPA. Conduct self in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner at all times. Ability to work in both a hands-on, team environment, and independently.
