Our client, a growing food and snack manufacturer, is looking for a skilled QA Technician to join their team in Chino, CA!
Schedule:
9:00 am to 5:30 p.m. Saturday as needed Location:

3-month contract (possibility of extension or conversion) Pay rate:
$20 -$21/ hr.
Position Overview The Quality Assurance Technician plays a critical role in maintaining product quality and safety by supporting production processes through regular inspections, audits, and sample testing. This position ensures compliance with regulatory and quality standards by maintaining a strong presence on the production floor and serving as a point of contact for operational staff.
Key Responsibilities Perform quality checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods. Conduct visual packaging inspections to ensure compliance with product standards. Carry out pre-operational (pre-op) inspections and swab tests as needed. Complete allergen inspections both pre-op and during production. Conduct daily Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) audits in production and warehouse areas. Ensure compliance with all relevant Federal, State, and Local OSHA regulations. Adhere to food safety, food defense, and quality standards as required by regulatory bodies and internal protocols. Collect and log samples during production and processing. Process and maintain retain samples for raw materials, roasting stages, and finished products. Ensure all safety protocols are followed and report safety concerns to management. Perform other duties as assigned in support of quality assurance and production teams.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree or certification in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Quality Assurance, or a related field preferred. 1-2 years of experience in quality assurance, food manufacturing, or a related industry preferred. Experience conducting inspections, audits, or working with food safety programs (e.g., HACCP, GMP) is a plus. Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety regulations, and basic quality control principles. Familiarity with HACCP, allergen control, and sanitation procedures. Basic understanding of microbiological and chemical testing (e.g., swabbing, allergen checks) is an advantage.
