Job Description

Purpose:

Provide leadership and direction in the delivery of process engineering projects and metrology activities. This position supports the operations requirements by ensuring effective delivery of engineering projects, calibration services, in a manner which provides high quality and rapid response service. This position is responsible for day-to-day activities of the department including managing the department budget, Calibration Excellence, quality of work, skills development, work assignment and training. This role should possess strong technical knowledge and project management skills to provide directions for problem solving project on time completion.

Responsibilities: Provides oversight to the day-to-day running of facilities to ensure plant utilities, Facilities and GMP systems are compliant to cGMP and regulatory requirements and meets unique operating requirements, government requirements and building safety codes. Manages project and calibration budget, including external services contracts. Manage process engineering project proposal, design and deliverables throughout project life cycle. Manage external services that support calibration activities. Provide strong leadership to the group in the coordination and execution of calibration activities and related facilities operations, utilizing an agile and risk based approach working around manufacturing schedule Track performance with monthly calibration metrics. Provide subject matter expertise to influence engineering and automation projects such as major equipment/utilities upgrades. Manage asset lifecycle in Maximo, for example, asset induction with calibration job planning. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in areas of asset reliability to reduce unscheduled calibration and improve equipment performance. Participate in the internal and external audits as SME. Collaborate with external key stakeholders, such as BLI Maintenance, BLI Engineering, Central Services, Global Engineering, BTS, and EHS Qualifications

Bachelors degree in engineering/Life Sciences or equivalent experience is required. 5+ years of broad GMP facilities management experience is required. Attention to detail and ability to manage timelines, quality and process improvement goals. Ability to lead the team and work independently to adjust priorities to achieve accurate and timely results. Broad knowledge of Engineering, Automation is required. Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to collaborate across sites and across functions. Prior experiences with electronic maintenance management system is desired, for example, Maximo, Blue Mountain RAM
