Position Summary:

Promote, Drive and Implement Continuous Improvement and Kaizen-workshops in direct and indirect. The role will interact frequently with international fellows in other Plants worldwide (e.g., Europe, China, India & Americas). Process analysis to improve productivity and develop local leaders. Drive local teams for implementing ZPS (Zobele Production System) tools in selected areas and manage the overall implementation. Work on Cost improvements initiatives, support the smooth implementation, and coordinate with Customers/suppliers of cost saving activities.

Essential Functions: • Lead cross-functional teams in implementing the ZPS Lean system (Zobele Production System). Organize and manage Kaizen activities, for example to improve lines efficiency, productivity, and report functionally to the global Lean director. • Drive, train and coach cross functional team members on Lean, Kaizen, and Practical Problem Solving within the framework of implementing ZPS. Challenge the status quo and motivate the staff to improve continuously. • Introduce change and manage people across the full hierarchy from top management to blue collars roles • Participate in further developing Lean Management concepts, products, and tools throughout the Group. • Coordinate with Project Management team for NPI (New Product Introduction) on aspect of engineering, operations, support R&D trial run on each development stage. • Contribute on the machine and process design for new projects, using IE (Industrial Engineering) tools, Ergonomic/safety/ to sustain and develop the production. • Improve and implement new standard operating procedures (SOP), and plant layout • Support local Lean Leaders, educate and manage fellow of other departments on the job, starting with manufacturing, supply chain, quality, engineering and go through the entire plant • Ensure the related work compliance with the requirements of product safety, product quality, and lean management system. • Able to implement change across the full hierarchy from top management to production workers.

Physical Demands: • Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time. • Willing to travel

Education:

Bachelor / Master's degree in engineering or similar preferred

Experience: • 5+ years of experience in Lean Management implementation, within industrial companies and preferably in high-volume companies • Best in class continuous improvement and kaizen experience, e.g. Toyota Production System, and in Lean tools including but not limited to Kaizen week, SMED, Jidoka, TPM, process mapping, value stream mapping, Kanban, and use of automation in world class facilities

Specific Knowledge: (Technical/Product, Organizational and Interpersonal): • Project management, focusing on implementing operational change • Kaizens/projects management and developing colleagues' skills in Lean tools • Excellent time management, analytical, problem-solving, logical thinking skills • Deep knowledge of Lean manufacturing & quality principles, TPM, SMED,6 sigma • Project Management • Knowledge of SAP as preferable

Additional Qualifications: • Reliable Leader with proven team building ability. Leads by example. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, good analytical skills and strong interpersonal skills.
