Job Description: Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a Senior Mechanic - Lead Maintenance Supervisor at our Prince George's County Organics Composting Facility in Upper Marlboro, MD. This position performs installation, maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment used for a variety of environmental projects. The Maintenance Supervisor levels also provide supervision of staff and projects.

Estimated Pay Range:

Senior Mechanic: $55,256.40 - $75,978.12

Lead Mechanic: $60,782.49 - $83,575.93

Senior Lead Mechanic: $66,861.04 - $91,933.74

Maintenance Supervisor: $60,782.49 - $83,575.93

Senior Maintenance Supervisor: $66,861.04 - $91,933.74

Lead Maintenance Supervisor: $73,547.00 - $101,127.12

All position levels require graduation from a standard high school or possession of GED equivalency certificate. Additional requirements include:

Senior Mechanic : 5 years experience performing installation, repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment. Lead Mechanic : 7 years experience performing installation, repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment. Senior Lead Mechanic : 8 years experience performing installation, repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment. Maintenance Supervisor:

7 years experience performing installation, repair and maintenance of mechanical, electrical or electronic equipment in an industrial setting, including 3 years of supervisory responsibilities. Senior Maintenance Supervisor:

8 years experience performing installation, repair and maintenance of mechanical, electrical or electronic equipment in a power generating facility, including 5 years of supervisory responsibilities. Lead Maintenance Supervisor:

10 years experience performing installation, repair and maintenance of mechanical, electrical or electronic equipment in an industrial setting, including 7 years of supervisory responsibilities.

Formal schooling from an accredited vocational school with a major in a related field may be substituted for experience for all position levels. Education experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for up to three years of the required experience. Applicants may substitute Bachelor' Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering for 4 years of the required experience for the Maintenance Supervisor levels.

Must have a valid driver's license with less than 5 points. Some facilities may require possession of a valid CDL.
