Outreach & Admissions Recruiter (Augusta, Me.)

Responsibilities and qualifications for this role include recruiting eligible youth for the Job Corps Program and coordinating with center staff and partners to support enrollment in residential, non-residential, and Other Training Provider (OTP) programs in compliance with government and management directives. Responsibilities Recruit eligible and suitable youth for the Job Corps Program. Interface with other outreach contractors and determine student qualifications for enrollment in support of the centers residential, non-residential, and OTP programs in compliance with directives. Conduct outreach activities in communities, agencies, American Job Centers, and public events. Meet departmental and center goals and objectives. Conduct orientation and interviews with applicants, including parents in the case of minors. Perform applicant file procedures (data entry, scanning documents to e-file). Participate in departmental meetings. Interface with at-risk students. Coordinate with centers to support applicants in travel arrangements. Perform Quality Assurance checks on all applicant files. Clearly communicate and model appropriate CSS and employability skills. Maintain accountability of staff, students, and property. Adhere to safety practices in all areas of responsibility. Foster and sustain a conducive environment at the center, ensuring it remains free from harassment, intimidation, and disrespect, thereby ensuring a safe space for both staff and students to engage in work and learning. Attend all required staff training opportunities.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications, or closely related field; or Associates degree in one of the related fields with two years of related experience. Experience may include successful Job Corps outreach and admissions experience or outreach/admissions experience with other youth development programs. Experience working with diverse youth. A valid drivers license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.
