The Product Development Engineer provides solutions for the development of high-speed bulk cable products used in Data Centers. This position interacts directly with Manufacturing Process Development Engineering, Quality Engineering, Cable Assembly Engineering, Test Engineering, Raw Materials suppliers, Tool & Fixture Design Engineering, 3rd Party Regulatory & Standards Organizations. This position is responsible for the Design & Development, and overall Validation activities required for High-Speed Bulk Cable Product. Job Requirements
Design/Product Development/Documentation Support Manufacturing Process Development Interact with Test Lab on Product Testing and Validation activities. Interact with Cable Assembly to ensure product fully meets expectations. Correlate bulk cable data to cable assembly SI/Physical test data. Explore new Raw Materials for Product Development and Improvement activities. Interact with SI Engineer on Modeling & Test Development activities. Interact with Bulk Cable PDEs/MPDEs in sister plants. Support all EH&S Activities. Provide Technical Presentations to Internal & External Customers as required. Support SAFE Activities Support ISO Activities Provide any support for any activities or projects necessary to support the business. What Your Background Should Look Like
Minimum of 3-5 years years of experience BS in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering Degree preferred. Knowledge of Wire & Cable Manufacturing a plus. Experience with Reliability Testing/Engineering a plus. Prior Experience in a Product Development environment required. Working knowledge of Network Analyzers and S-Parameters a plus. CAD Experience a plus. Knowledge of high-speed bulk cable design & manufacturing a plus. Competencies
