Offshore HSE Engineer Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly qualified Offshore HSE Engineer to join our team and ensure the highest safety standards across our offshore projects. The successful candidate will support the development and implementation of comprehensive HSE management systems, conduct risk assessments, and lead safety initiatives to protect personnel, assets, and the environment throughout all project phases. Offshore HSE Engineer Responsibilities: Develop, manage, and continuously improve the Project HSE Management System across all project stages. Ensure compliance with client HSE requirements, corporate standards, local laws, and international standards such as ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. Participate in accident and incident investigations, providing thorough analyses and corrective actions. Lead HSE risk assessments, hazard identification, and mitigation planning, including HAZOP, HAZID, and safety case reviews. Assist in preparing and implementing HSE plans, procedures, and environmental assessments. Conduct pre-construction surveys to identify safety-critical and environmentally sensitive areas, recommending appropriate mitigation measures. Supervise HSE audits, inspections, and the safety performance of subcontractors and suppliers. Promote best practices in working at heights, lifting operations, civil, mechanical, and process safety. Provide technical support and consultation to engineering and management teams on safety-related matters. Ensure timely and effective reporting of safety performance, incidents, and improvement initiatives. Offshore HSE Engineer Position Requirements:
Proven experience with offshore or construction safety standards and client-specific HSE requirements. Extensive knowledge of electrical safety, lifting operations, civil and mechanical works, and process safety management. Skilled in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and data reporting techniques. Strong familiarity with international HSE standards and legislation, including ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. Ability to interpret technical documents and engineering drawings related to offshore projects. Capable of conducting and leading safety audits, site inspections, and risk assessments. Experience managing subcontractor safety performance and ensuring compliance with safety procedures. Proficiency in hazard identification methodologies like HAZOP, HAZID, and JSA. Excellent communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills. Offshore HSE Engineer Preferred Position Requirements:
Experience working with work at heights, confined spaces, or marine safety environments. Certifications such as BOSIET, HUET, or other offshore safety qualifications.
