You will be responsible for discovering the prospects needs and matching them with the perfect apartment. The ideal candidate for this role will have strong customer service skills, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic. Job Description Greet prospects and qualify by covering all criteria (ask questions; utilize completed guest cards, etc.) Demonstrate community and apartment/model units and apply product knowledge to clients needs by communicating the features and benefits; close the sale Have prospects complete applications and secure deposits in accordance with company procedures and Fair Housing requirements Update availability reports, process applications for approvals (e.g., credit check, rental history, etc.). Submit processed applications to the Resident Relations Manager for approval. Follow up with applicants regarding status Ensure apartment is ready for resident move-in on the agreed date Secure new residents signature(s) on appropriate paperwork prior to move-in Participate in outreach marketing activities on a regular basis to obtain prospective residents Conduct market surveys and shop competitive communities; conduct market research on construction, lease-ups, employers and marketing efforts of competitors Ensure all maintenance repairs are handled satisfactorily by contacting residents with completed Service Requests on a weekly basis

Job Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred Two (2) years of experience in customer service; previous leasing experience preferred Strong communication and attention to detail as well as sales ability Positive attitude and the ability to smile under all circumstances Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends Fair Housing Certification, willingness to obtain prior to interacting with prospective residents Ability to diffuse and respond to customer concerns to avoid escalation Successfully pass drug test
