The Hotel Lincoln-Chicago is situated in one of Chicagos most desirable neighborhoods, and offers sweeping views over Lincoln Park and Lake Michigan. The property features award-winning eateries, including the J. Parker rooftop bar with a 360-degree view of the skyline, Lake Michigan, and Lincoln Park.
What you will be doing
Prepare daily Restaurant Revenue Report data by auditing Point of Sale tapes/journals to breakdown revenue, covers, waiter fees, tips paid out and settlements by type and cashier.
Run audit reports/journals from the front office system, Point of Sale and the computer.
Make corrections and adjustments and handle computer problems during the shift.
Input into the front office system revenue/expenses/allowances to generate daily reports (Guest Ledger Summary, Daily Restaurant Summary).
Balance all revenue and settlement accounts nightly, maintain files and reset the system for next day operations.
Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
What is required Hotel Night Audit Experience is a must. Must be able to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Team player who is willing to pitch-in and help co-workers with their duties. Basic mathematical skills and ability to perform accurate calculations using a 10-key. Ability to effectively deal with guest and employee concerns in a friendly and positive manner. Ability to input information using a moderately complex computer system.
