We are a 50+ hospital healthcare system actively growing, with over 50,000 employees and multiple not-for-profit facilities. The role is hosted by Jobot and involves collaborating with leadership to provide legal guidance on hospital operations, contracting, compliance, and regulatory matters. Key Responsibilities

Transactional Support & Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of corporate agreements, including physician agreements, joint ventures, leases, vendor and supply chain contracts, non-disclosure agreements, and affiliation agreements. Ensure contractual language reflects the health systems interests. Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management: Provide daily counsel on regulatory matters affecting hospital operations; ensure compliance with state laws regarding referrals and financial relationships; advise on implications of federal laws (e.g., Stark Law, Anti?Kickback Statute, False Claims Act); monitor regulatory changes and guide internal stakeholders. Strategic Legal Counsel: Develop legal strategies with corporate and local leadership; offer pragmatic, real-time advice; act as liaison with external counsel to ensure consistent strategy and cost containment. Operational & Business Support: Apply knowledge of hospital operations to drafting and implementing legal agreements; collaborate with C-suite, hospital administrators, physicians, nurses, and staff to mitigate legal risks; address issues related to hospital/medical staff contracting, telemedicine, ambulatory surgical centers, and licensing/accreditation. Leadership & Professional Development: Maintain high ethical standards and confidentiality; stay current with industry trends and regulatory developments; mentor junior legal staff as appropriate. Qualifications

Required J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school Unrestricted license to practice law and active status with at least one state bar Strong understanding of hospital operations and healthcare regulatory compliance matters Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to exercise independent judgment and maintain confidentiality Preferred Minimum 5 years of legal experience in law firm, public sector, or in-house settings; 23 years in healthcare transactional or regulatory work In-depth knowledge of federal healthcare laws and regulations; experience with physician contracting, Medical Staff/peer review, telemedicine, and ambulatory surgical centers Exceptional contract negotiation and drafting skills; demonstrated ability to manage outside counsel and control costs Strong ability to interact with senior executives, hospital leadership, and clinical staff Working Environment
