Graduate Engineer I, Electrical - Austin, TX
Halff has an immediate opening for a Graduate Electrical Engineer, with their Engineer-in-Training (EIT), to join our Electrical Engineering team based out of Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience with HVAC air and hydronic concepts and must be capable of performing routine calculations, equipment layout, basic equipment under supervision of senior staff. What you will do: Collaborate effectively with other engineers, architects, and project stakeholders including owners Perform routine calculations Responsible for creating electrical project construction documents, plans, specifications, and design analyses for electrical/lighting system designs Design, layout, and circuiting equipment for electrical systems, (i.e. lighting systems, HVAC and Plumbing equipment, etc.) What you will need:
Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, or Architectural Engineering, or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree Three + years of experience in engineering, designing, and producing lighting, lighting control, power distribution, and branch circuiting for Commercial, Industrial, and Institutional projects Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD and REVIT (BIM); SKM Systems Analysis and Visual Tools High level interpersonal relationship skills, proficiency in communication skills, organization skills, and knowledge of Microsoft Office Ability to obtain the Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus Working knowledge of NEC and IESNA Working knowledge of ASHRAE 90.1 and IECC The Halff MEP Advantage
