The opportunity: EY-Parthenon's Transactions Corporate Finance (TCF) department is a nexus between the corporate finance and M&A transactions landscape, with a focus on Transaction Diligence, Valuation, Modeling & Economics and mid-size M&A Advisory. You will be staffed across sectors and experience different domains (Due Diligence, Valuations, Financial Modeling or M&A Lead Advisory) to become a well-rounded transaction advisor with technical excellence and sector understanding. We are growing our TCF team in Zurich, with a focus on Transaction Diligence. We are currently looking for a Consultant (entry position) to start in February 2026 (earliest). Responsibilities Perform Financial Due Diligences relating to the sale or acquisition of companies together with a multi-cultural project team. Identify risks and items to consider in the purchase price and provide input to share/asset purchase agreements. Apply analytics tools in your analysis and help drive the application of further digital solutions within TCF. Prepare transaction documents such as information memorandum, teasers, and management presentations. Prepare potential buyer and target lists and assist with outreach to interested parties. Populate virtual data rooms and support the Q&A process during due diligence. Support in the negotiation phase of a transaction and in preparation of signing and closing. Perform company and corporate valuations using market and transaction multiples and the DCF method. Conduct industry and comparable company research, analyze business models and cost of capital to understand a target company. Carry out valuations using various methods in accordance with international standards. Prepare detailed reports outlining due diligence findings, valuations and assumptions. Create financial models and data analysis/visualization of large datasets to support decision-making. Evaluate intangible assets in the context of PPA (IFRS 3) and review impairment tests (IAS 36) and complex securities valuations (IFRS 2). Support EY Audit Teams in impairment test projects and cost of capital computations. Gain experience across sectors and develop an industry-specific profile with mobility opportunities abroad.

Skills and attributes for success

Completed university degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or a STEM field. Interest in transactions/corporate finance, ideally with 13 years relevant work experience (e.g., in a bank, Private Equity fund, consulting firm, or Big4). Interest in or experience with international clients and multiple accounting standards (IFRS, US GAAP, local standards). Good communication and presentation skills in English and German; knowledge of French or Italian is welcome. Knowledge of analytical tools such as Alteryx, PowerBI, and strong MS Office skills (Excel and PowerPoint). Analytical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, initiative, and adaptability.
