As a retail grocer, we operate 7 days/week and 365 days/year and as such work in support of our stores may include evening and weekend hours per the needs of the business. Valid Driver License and vehicle required, with ability to travel occasionally to store locations within the local region. About the role:

Provides support for all leaves, benefits, and compensation functions in our Pacific Northwest region, as well as other regions as needed. Position Responsibilities: Supports the maintenance of accurate employee records and certifications in Docuware, Dayforce and other HRIS systems as required, including leave of absence tracking software. Responds to or directs routine internal and external inquiries regarding leaves of absence, accommodations, and benefits. Supports leave administration, processes requests, and supports ongoing communication to internal and external stakeholders Files HR related paperwork into employee files; maintains proper recordkeeping (including wage offer worksheets, LOA letters, benefits documentation, etc.) Performs audits to ensure HRIS and recordkeeping systems are accurate and up to date Provides ongoing support to all company staff and location HR representatives with leave of absence, accommodations, or benefits inquiries. Electronically files leave of absence or accommodations related paperwork. Creates, delivers, and stores leave of absence or accommodations related staff communications. Electronically files disability-related paperwork and provides liaise support between the disability carrier and our staff members Maintains current understanding of leave of absence and accommodations laws, ensures compliance, educates and supports staff through these processes. Maintains and updates wage offer tools and offers guidance to other users of the tools when needed. Assists in routine wage equity audits of positions based on rotating cycles and individual requests. Assists in annual reporting and audit processes, including reporting and administrative tasks as directed. Supports HR leadership on special projects including cross-banner projects and support. Tools and Equipment Used (not all inclusive):This position works with standard office equipment. May be required to use the following tools and equipment when working in stores or offsite; baler, hand truck, POS, industrial kitchen equipment (i.e. blast chiller, grill, knives/blades, oven, grills, scales, etc.) and basic housekeeping / janitorial items . This position works consistently at a light worklevel and may be asked to work on occasion at a medium or heavy work level when supporting stores or other offsite events. Frequently required to sit, walk, reach and grasp. Occasionally required to be on feet with a mix of standing and walking throughout shift.Up to occasionally, dependent on location, required to climb stairs, step stool and /or ladders. Performs other tasks and duties as assigned. What you Bring as a Candidate: Previous administrative and/or Human Resources experience required. Entry level to mid-level proficiency with MS Office. Working knowledge of HRIS and Payroll software programs / platforms preferred. Skills to learn new computer programs and systems. Excellent interpersonal skills, including tact and diplomacy, to collaborate, negotiate and communicate effectively and professionally with cross-functional partners at all levels in the company. Ability to articulate information and express ideas effectually using oral, written and non-verbal communication skills, through both in person and digital mediums.

Physical and Environmental Work Space:

Work occurs in office, a variety of off-site environments and in a grocery store environment which includes surfaces that can be wet and slippery, moderate noise level, and temperature extremes in controlled environments in the cooler and freezer, and depending on location, working outside in all temperatures. There may be exposure to certain allergens and / or chemicals.
