We are looking for a QA Analyst III. The QA Analyst III is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of settlement systems through comprehensive test planning, execution, and management. This role requires strong technical expertise in database testing, test data management, and quality assurance processes, along with close collaboration with developers, project managers, and business stakeholders.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure compliance with established software testing standards and best practices. Continuously track testing progress against the plan, adjust activities when necessary, and provide regular status reports. Translate testing objectives into test conditions and test cases using documented requirements, system architecture, existing data, and data flows. Apply structural (white-box) techniques to identify test conditions and high-level cases. Subset production data for efficient, realistic testing while maintaining referential integrity. Develop and prioritize test procedures, configure environments, and prepare test data. Execute tests across database components, including views, procedures, functions, data conversion, and migration programs. Support acceptance testing by business users and manage changes between production, staging, test, and development environments. Define strategic and tactical testing objectives for software changes across multiple levels (component, integration, system, acceptance). Collaborate with developers, project managers, and business partners to establish a risk-based testing strategy that incorporates functional, non-functional, structural (white-box), confirmation, and regression testing. Assess test execution against objectives defined in the test plan and deliver project-specific reports and closure documentation. Identify, provision, and maintain test data, including edge cases, error conditions, and boundary values. Script database setup, cleanup, and data file/message stream creation for repeatable test runs. Provide tools and methods to compare expected vs. actual results across databases, files, message streams, and front-end interfaces.
QUALIFICATIONS Required Skills
7+ years of experience as a QA analyst or tester Strong business and customer focus with excellent communication skills Familiarity with test-driven or behavior-driven development practices Proficiency with Atlassian toolset (Jira, Confluence) Strong SQL skills with Oracle databases Experience working on large, cross-functional teams with multiple stakeholders Knowledge of iterative development methodologies, especially Agile Scrum Experience with user-centered design and usability testing Scripting experience in applicable languages Positive, solution-oriented, and highly collaborative mindset Preferred Skills
Skilled at communicating with business leadership and stakeholders Hands-on experience with automated testing tools (SOAPUI, TOSCA, Scriptless Automation) Experience in SOA / Web Services environments Background in testing complex, technical applications
