As a Right of Way Agent, you will carry out the direction of others, as negotiator and mediator, in representing Oncor Electric Delivery Company in acquiring distribution land and land rights. You'll work under general supervision in managing the Company's right of way assets to protect and defend against exposure to potential encroachment, trespass, and environmental misuse. This role maintains owner/customer relations to prevent or minimize complaints, disputes and potential litigation. Key Roles & Responsibilities: Prepares legal documents such as easements, licenses, releases, exclusions, permits and encroachments, requiring paralegal skills and working knowledge of real estate law. Research public and internal Company records to determine property ownership. With general supervision, processes requests to use Company right of way for encroachments and grants of easement/license for third party uses such as crossings for utilities, roads, pipelines and other uses and, if approved, takes steps to prepare the pertinent documents for execution by Oncor's Attorney in Fact. Protects Company's investment, title, and rights in its real property for both present and future use, preventing trespass, unauthorized encroachments, environmental misuse and maintenance concerns. Provides general right of way assistance to Distribution Design and New Customer organizations relating to Company's land and land rights. Understands the importance of the integrity of Company's standard real estate forms. With general supervision, processes the required documents for the acquisition and management of easements, licenses, leases and permits, associated with the construction of Company facilities affecting city, state, federal, and railroad lands. Skills: Familiarity with real estate law, general knowledge of real estate industries practices, procedures, documents, public real estate records, and familiarity with regulatory and environmental rules and regulations. Effective negotiating and interpersonal skills are essential. Education and Experience: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent and 1+ year of related right of way experience is required.
