A well recognized Pulmonology department in the Myrtle Beach area has an opportunity for an Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their team. Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) Preferred 1+ year of experience in role as NP/PA or strong background in Pulm required Outpatient clinical role and support inpatient consultations Mon-Thurs 8a-5p and Friday 8a-12p - rotate call with all providers on a 1:5 schedule Each NP/PA has a dedicated nurse and work closely with the Pulmonologists, Respiratory Therapists, Radiologists, and other specialists - 4 Physicians currently Average patient volume is 18-25 patients per day Primarily adult and geriatric patients with common cases such as COPD, asthma, sleep apnea, lung disease, and other pulmonary conditions Pulmonary fibrosis and pulmonary hypertension get referred out Visit types are follow-ups for chronic conditions, initial consultations for new respiratory symptoms, lung health screenings, and post-hospital discharge visits Procedures include pulmonary function tests, oxygen therapy evals, management of respiratory devices, medication adjustments and education EMR used is Cerner Competitive salary based on experience with $5K sign on, WRVU's, flexible scheduling and ample PTO to cater to a great work/life balance Please refer to Job ID#5213.
