We are actively looking for a Coastal Engineer to join our Jacksonville office. As part of the Coastal Group, the Coastal Engineer assists the planning and design for Urban Waterfront and Coastal Structures projects, including marinas, marine terminals, urban waterfront developments and cruise ship facilities, wetland restoration, dredging, shore protection structures, and flood walls. Duties and responsibilities: Support planning and design for Waterfront and Coastal projects including piers, marinas, marine terminals, beaches, wetland restoration, dredging, shore protection structures, and flood walls Assist in research to support opportunities and projects Develop calculations and numerical models to support engineering or environmental solutions Assist with fieldwork, such as instrument handling and deployment Assist engineers or scientists with site visits and inspections Collaborate with other team members Participate in meetings and educational seminars Qualifications: Masters degree in Coastal Engineering 1 to 4 years of industry experience Experience with ADCIRC/SWAN and XBeach numerical models Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation) Availability and willingness to travel All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171 Moffatt & Nichol uses E-Verify and employment is contingent upon the legal ability to obtain employment in the U.S. and to present the required documentation at hire Working conditions: Sedentary for prolonged periods of time, interact with clients, and travel occasionally. #J-18808-Ljbffr
