professionals can work under the license of a physician or advanced practice provider (APP),

per North Carolina Board of Nursing requirements , they must: Complete

a minimum of 8 hours every 24 months

of direct supervision by a

registered nurse (RN)

employed at the clinic

Or make arrangements to complete this requirement at a

Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Experience:

Two years of acute experience for CNA 1, preferred. One year of CNA2 or EMT experience, preferred. One year of experience in healthcare setting or Physician Assistant or medical school student enrolled in an accredited program or gap year, preferred.

Licensure/Certification:

NA I in good standing within the NA registry, required. OR NA II in good standing with NA II certification with required state, required. OR EMT current credential in appropriate state, required. OR One year clinical (medical) office experience, required. OR Physician Assistant or Medical School student enrolled in accredited program or in gap year, required.

Additional Skills Required:

Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing. Basic computer skills for documentation.
